However, for musically-inclined students, "Das doofe Fischlied" by Brad Yoder can't be surpassed. The tune is catchy and the materials packet is well thought out. It includes a CD with 9 variations of the song (including slower versions, and music-only versions), lyrics, 5 worksheets, and a brief history/explanation of how the song came to be. The full materials packet can be ordered for USD22.50 from the store on his website. There is a student version of "Das doofe Fischlied" on YouTube, but Brad sings it a lot better! A well regarded acoustic/indie/folk-rock singer, he has been voted "Best Acoustic/Solo Artist" by readers in four of the past five Pittsburgh City Paper polls. And no, I don't know him personally, but I'm using his song yet again with my adult class next week, so I thought I'd write about it here.
